In the direct path to the lighthouse of Palascia, where you\u2019ll find a permanent ecological observatory and natural history museum and from where you can admire a beautiful landscape, you may have the chance to see local species of hawk.<\/p>\n<p>An emerald-green lake that has formed in a bauxite quarry is another surprise that we find on this route towards the dell&#8217;Orte bay.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/img_161.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-14\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-753 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/img_161.jpg\" alt=\"bauxite - salento trekking\" width=\"800\" height=\"536\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/img_161.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/img_161-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/img_161-768x515.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Continuing south, another trail much loved by trekkers is the <strong>Masseria San Giovanni<\/strong>, along which you can learn about the typical threes (Lecci) that the capital of Salento (Lecce) is named after, and other types of oaks.<\/p>\n<p>For those who enjoy watching shrubs , the <strong>Sentiero Belvedere<\/strong> is a journey not to be missed. It\u2019s a part of the municipality of Diso and it crosses a path of olive trees and pine forests along the coast. You can look across the clear blue water of the Bay of Acquaviva, from where you can see in the distance the city of Castro.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Three towers paths<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This route begins in Marittima, and from here we can choose between three slightly different paths: the first is Torre Lupo, Vantage view point with an interesting flora, including three different species of orchids.<\/p>\n<p>Going down to Tricase, we find paths bordered by watchtowers, such as the <strong>Sentiero Torre del Sanno.<\/strong> Also enjoyable by bike and particularly easy to walk along, the path is, mainly in spring, a mixture of odors from locust beans, bay leaf, oak.<\/p>\n<p>In the area of Tiggiano, right after the beautiful resort of Marina Serra, the path of Torre Nasparo begins. The names that identify the 5 itineraries are<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Itinerario del Sale<br \/>\n&#8211; Itinerario Torre Pecchia Grande \u2013 Cappella Santa Maura<br \/>\n&#8211; Itinerario Rusia<br \/>\n&#8211; Itinerario Mare<br \/>\n&#8211; Itinerario Canale Rio<\/p>\n<p><strong>A thousand shades of blue in Alessano <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/ciolo.jpg\" data-rel=\"lightbox-image-7\" data-rl_title=\"\" data-rl_caption=\"\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-749 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/ciolo.jpg\" alt=\"ciolo\" width=\"800\" height=\"529\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/ciolo.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/ciolo-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.salentodolcevita.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/ciolo-768x508.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Grotta Azzurra Path\u2019s beauty is explained in its name. Departing from Alessano, it spreads over a distance of 500 meters of a very easy track. The Blue Cave is breathtaking for the many shades of blue that characterize it; the simple path becomes even more valuable because it leads to the Path of Ciolo, whose name is not new to fans of Salento and breathtaking dives (from the bridge of Ciolo, in fact).<br \/>\nThe Ciolo Path begins in Gagliano del Capo (Via Ciolo) and lasts for about 400 m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The end of the earth<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The southernmost tip of Salento not only amazes because of the beauty of the crystalline sea. The town of Castrignano del Capo offers two major hiking paths to treking enthusiasts:<\/p>\n<p><strong> Canale delle Menghe<br \/>\nLungomare di Leuca.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The former ends in the Canale di Menghe and extends for 300 meters on a vertical drop of 7m.
