1 master bedroom; 1 double/quadruple+2
This quaint, distinctive house is situated in the historic centre of a small village near Otranto and includes an 80 m2 private courtyard.
The house has been recently renovated by the owners, who opted for a respectful renovation but with a contemporary touch that combines structural tradition with minimalist and design pieces of furniture. The typical elements can be seen in the beautifully recovered star-shaped vaulted ceilings, in the traditional sandstone slab flooring, while the steel kitchen cabinets and the furniture, especially in the living room, feature modernity. The upper floor (sleeping area) is also characterized by the recovery of ancient decorations on the walls and of the original early 20th-century cement paste flooring.
Layout: Ground floor: large living room with a sofa bed (1,40*2,00) and TV area; eat-in kitchen with 6/8 seat table; 1 bathroom with shower. The kitchen/dining room opens onto a private 80 m2 courtyard with a masonry barbeque, a hot shower, a shady area with an 8/10 seat table and a lounge area with garden chairs. First floor: an old stone staircase on the ground floor leads from the living room to the sleeping area with 2 bedrooms: 1 master bedroom and 1 double/quadruple with a small water closet (no shower).
N.B. the two single beds in the double bedroom can both become double and sleep 4 people. Please note that the two bedrooms are adjoining and do not have an anteroom between them, so that one must walk through the double bedroom to reach the master bedroom.
A further flight of stairs leads to the rooftop area where a laundry and a washing machine are located.
Amenities: outdoor hot shower; dishwasher; washing machine; 2 TVs (a large-screen one in the living room and a small one with a DVD player in the master bedroom); stereo set; gas heating.
Weekly rates include utility charges (electricity, water, gas) and bed & bath linen. End-of-stay house cleaning is not included and will be charged at an additional cost of € 70,00. Heating charges are not included and will be calculated on a consumption basis.

Gallipoli between history and art
The itinerary begins with Gallipoli (from the Greek Kale polis, beautiful place). It has an oriental look and is white, reminiscent of a town on the Cicladi islands. The town juts out into the sea with a promontory and a little island joined to the mainland by a bridge. It is known for its...
