Casa Le Terrazze is a picturesque house on the city walls of the beautiful medieval hamlet of Castro Marina, with a unique sea-view. The property is disposed on three terraced levels, all overlooking the bay and the village of Castro Marina. In the garden on the lower level, there is a Jacuzzi from which you can enjoy an incredible scenery in complete relax, admiring the old tower of the fortress and the bay at one glance. From the same level, a small gate gives onto a footpath for a fascinating stroll on the ramparts of the old town.
The house entrance is from an alley of the old town of Castro, and opens onto the upper and main level of the house, composed of 4 rooms with vaulted ceilings, two of which overlook a beautiful furnished terrace with a fantastic sea view.
Upper level: entrance; living room with a double sofa bed, giving access to a bathroom with shower and, via a wooden staircase, to a double bedroom on a mezzanine, running lengthwise the room; dining room and kitchen with access to the sea-view terrace; small sitting room/studio, characterized by a ceiling decorated with frescoes, provided with a single sofa bed, and having access to the sea-view terrace. From there, a staircase leads down to the middle level, accessible from a stone-paved terrace and composed of: a triple bedroom with a bunk bed, and a door giving outside onto the terrace; a double bedroom; a bathroom with shower, accessible from a small passageway. FYI: the latter bedroom is a windowless room. This part of the house has a more neat décor, but both the bedrooms have vaulted ceilings.
Going outside on the terrace of the middle level, a staircase leads then down to the third level, through a path bordered with vegetation. There is a cozy relax area equipped with garden furniture, sun loungers, an outdoor shower and a Jacuzzi. As mentioned above, from this last level a few stone steps lead to an iron gate opening onto the footpath running along the walls of the old city.
DistancesSea: Castro Marina by car or motorbike is 5 minutes away (2,3 km); 500 m by foot from the ramparts to the sea, following an ancient footpath through the buildings. In Castro Marina there are coves with turquoise water and flat rocks allowing easy access to the sea. There are two seaside resorts, the "Roccia Hotel" and "La Sorgente". At the dock it is possible to rent out boats for excursions along the coast.
