1 master bedroom, 1 double bedroom + 2
Casa Geco is situated in the historic centre of Matino, among the last row of houses on the hill, from the slopes of which orange and olive groves as well as other lovely wild plants can be seen. Matino is also called the ’Ostuni of Salento’, perched as it is on a small mound which offers a view of the nearby Ionian Sea. It prides itself on a beautiful historic centre and exudes a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, yet is only 15 km from fabulous beaches and from the vibrant town of Gallipoli.
Interior Layout: a hallway leads directly into the living room, furnished with 2 sofa beds; a corridor leads off to the bathroom/shower, the kitchen and the courtyard. The master bedroom is reachable both from the living room and from the bathroom (independent access to the bathroom from the living room and from the bedroom). The kitchen opens into the courtyard and is fully equipped, with a large sink, a gas cooktop, an electric oven, dishwasher and coffee machine.
The living area is separated from the courtyard by a large glass door.
Stone stairs in the hallway lead to the upper floor, which includes a small bedroom with a bathroom/shower and 2 terraces.
The east looking terrace, with a view of the neighbours’ orange grove and the countryside, includes a pergola with a table and chairs. It can be used for a lovely breakfast or aperitif as all the dishware can be easily brought upstairs from the kitchen by means of a pulley system. The courtyard is shady and furnished with garden furniture and a canopy bed. There is also a small laundry room with a washing machine, ironing board and iron, and an outdoor shower.
The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and heating units. In the kitchen there is a wood stove in working order. Pets are not allowed.
