This historic and prestigious dwellinglies in the main square of a small village of the Salento inland area at only3 km from Otranto; it dates back to themiddle agesand was initially a fortified residence until it was transformed into anoble mansion. You enter the palazzo through the main entrance door opening into a central courtyard. On your left you will find the access to the ground floor unit, Residenza Donna Giulia B, in front of the lovely lushmediterranean gardenwith its spectacular columned pergola and its rare and precious specimen of quercus vallonea (east European oak species) and, on your right, the majestic staircase leading to the upper floors and to Residenza Donna Giulia A.

Residenza Donna Giulia Aconsists of a suiteand a main apartment, which can accommodate a total of 16 people.
The suite has two entryways, one of which is totally independent. Layout: 1 single bedroom, 1 bathroom/shower, a very spacious master bedroom. Large private terrace.
The main apartment, instead, consists of a breathtaking great hall, a series of smaller lounges, a library and magnificent terraces overlooking the lovely garden and, beyond, the sea. Its bedrooms, which differ one from each other in size and position, all carefully and smartly furnished, can accommodate 13 people. Layout: the 1st floor includes a double bedroom and ensuite bathroom with shower and bath, a second double bedroom with bathroom, a third double bedroom with a water closet (no shower), a double bedroom with an attached single independent bedroom and a bathroom with bath.
A wooden staircase leads to the 2nd floor composed of a large master bedroom with a fireplace, two single independent bedrooms and a bathroom with a bath.
The kitchen includes a laundry room and is located on the entresol level; its large and beautiful terrace, furnished with a pergola of fine grapes, overlooks the lawns and paths of the park.
Residenza Donna Giulia B is located in one of the ground floor wings and can accommodate 6/8 people. Layout: a large hall/lounge with couches and a fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen with its typical barrel-vaulted ceilings, two double bedrooms with a bathroom, one of which with bath and the other with shower, a third double bedroom is on two levels with an attached single bedroom and a bathroom/shower. This unit has two well-furnished gardens, one of which with direct access from the village square and a parking spot.                               
All rooms feature original antique fireplaces and furniture. There is a common laundry and ironing room, which is at the service of all the guests of the palace.
It might not have all the comfort of a modern home but it exudes a magic atmosphere of bygone times.
